INFO

Private Angus is a Swedish rock band from Gothenburg, which consists of the members Joel " Don sing " Eriksson on lead vocals, Olli "Guitariano " Skogsbryne on guitar, Peter " Clubber bang" Ottosson on drums ( Strandvägen, let em hang ) , and Johannes "Bassteque" Olsson on bass, formerly in Swedish metalband "Closer".The band have had some different members over the years, but the singer and guitarist has been playing together since -94.

They’ve been inspired by bands like Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Muse, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, AC/DC and tons of other bands and melted it down to their own formula which consists of Phil Ruddish hard hitting simplicity, chords that God forgot about, bass that curves your enthusiasm and a lead that makes David Lee Roth jump out of his pants (yes they’re tight pants).

They've released two albums and five singles, and are releasing their third album in 2014. With Martin Landin on bass and Martin Fürst on drums they released "The Tragical Misery Tour" on Plugged Records 2006. In 2009 Peter Ottosson held the drumsticks and Martin Rosengren the bass on "Holmby Hills" which was released on the label Infinite Music and got quite good reviews:

"Holmby Hills sits like a greasy burger when you are on the wrong side of a nasty end. Sometimes you have to farmway your way ahead". Hans-Olof Svensson Zero Magazine

"The band seems rude prosperous and vibrant - almost flawless." Gary Lundström, Groove
.

The band has been noted by Swedish Radio P3 Rockster, P4 Göteborg and P4 Kalmar who played songs from Holmby Hills regularly. They have bubbled on P4 Stockholm and has been on THS Radios top 10 rating during 2 weeks. Zero Music Magazine writes:

"Private Angus serves rock music a la Foo Fighters with influences from AC / DC and Kiss, and Björn Bostrand on Länstidningen Östersund says briefly, "damn good"

On the upcoming album the bass is taken over by Johannes Olsson who also produces the album. The band's music is available on Spotify, iTunes, Last FM, Sound cloud etc. They've also recorded two videos, one for the tune "Your Song" and one for the tune ”Thousand Kisses” which can be viewed on YouTube.
